Description: Vinpocetine is an extract from the leaf of the periwinkle plant. It has been shown in studies to dilate blood vessels, enhance circulation in the brain, improve oxygen utilization, make red blood cells more pliable, and inhibit aggregation of platelets. Studies have shown it to benefit cognitive function for people with dementia.

Indications:

  • Dementia
  • Hearing loss
  • Memory problems
  • Tinnitus

Precautions: Pregnant women or breastfeeding mothers should not take vinpocetine. Use caution if you are currently taking blood pressure medications.

Dosage: Take 10 to 20 mg daily.
