Description: Pregnenolone is a steroidal hormone produced in large part by the adrenal glands. It is a precursor hormone that the body uses to manufacture DHEA and progesterone. It is commonly used by holistic doctors for arthritis and autoimmune conditions such as lupus.

Indications:

  • Arthritis (especially rheumatoid form)
  • Depression
  • Lupus erythematosus
  • Poor memory
  • Psoriasis

Precautions: Pregnenolone should be avoided by people who have seizure disorders or a history of hormone-related cancers.

Dosage: Take 10 to 50 mg daily.
