Description: Evening primrose oil is rich in an omega-6 fatty acid known as GLA (gamma linolenic acid). GLA has been shown to have anti-inflammatory effects and is required for proper brain function.

Indications:

  • Arthritis
  • Attention deficit disorder
  • Fibrocystic breast syndrome
  • Diabetes
  • Dry skin
  • Eczema
  • Multiple sclerosis
  • Peripheral neuropathy
  • PMS

Precautions: Digestive upset and headaches are rare side effects. People with epilepsy should use EPO only under the guidance of a doctor. Evening primrose oil is best taken in conjunction with omega-3 fatty acids, such as fish, flaxseed, or perilla oil.
