Description: Beta-sitosterol is a plant sterol that is used as a supplement to lower cholesterol and reduce the symptoms of prostate enlargement.

Indications:

  • High cholesterol
  • Prostate enlargement

Precautions: This supplement appears to be very safe, with no known precautions.

Dosage: Doses of up to 10 grams are used for high cholesterol, and up to 130 mg daily are used for prostate enlargement.
