Essential Oil Care
By James F. Balch, M.D. and Mark Stengler, N.D.

Once you've bought your precious essential oils, be sure to store and use them properly to preserve their healing properties. Most oils will keep well for a year or more.

Keep your oils in a cool, dry place in dark glass bottles. Never allow your oils to stand in a damp environment or near light or heat.

Avoid touching the inside of the bottle cap, the rim of the bottle, or the dropper to your skin or to any other surface. This will help prevent contamination.

Uncap your oils only long enough to release the amount of oil you need. The oils are extremely volatile and will evaporate quickly.
